The woodgrain background is a nice touch. Linda Blackbird sends this scan of PineCones to show the image when printed in black on acetate and layered over gold metallic card stock. Creates a rich, dramatic card. 3 x 4" --$8.00 Though this was used as a Christmas Card, it could also have been note paper for an elegant gift or personal note cards for the fall season. Noreen Moller sent this example. "I'm glad you liked the card. It was quite simple to do and easy to make the dozens necessary for Christmas." She describes the technique as follows: Stamped the pinecone with red pigment ink on black cardstock. Embossed the image with Judi-kins Eygyptian gold. Layered onto a piece of gold tissue paper that had been crumpled and then smooothed out. Attached to a 5 by 6 1/2 ivory card. Added a bow centered above the image using ivory and gold organza ribbon. Thats it! Quick and Easy. It LOOKS neither quick, nor easy....but very elegant.
