CARNATION SAMPLE seaasonal, unmounted, rubberstamps

From Linda Blackbird..... " . . .made some background papers . . .quickly embossed the carnation on one of them. It's a beautiful stamp! I'll use it often."

And in an recent e-mail discussing another card:" I'm still amazed at how easy it is to do cards with your stamps."Thanks Linda...that was the idea behind the stamps originally....a long time ago.

Hello Dolly!

Dolly Roit, new to gg designs, sends this card she made using the carnation stamp.

Thanks Dolly, and welcome!

Check her use of the Callas stamp as well.

Another of Linda Blackbird's great combinations...not just of gg designs images but combined with other stamp companies styles. (The Dragon Fly) The Dragon Fly stamped over the background leaf image is complimented by a "charm" added in the corner.

Maybe, if we ask nicely, she'll send us her directions.

How about it Linda?

Background is direct-to-stamp using a few shades of green markers on glossy white paper. The carnation is stamped with Memories black onto a piece of paper, then I embossed that whole piece in clear E.P. The paper is from an old calendar. It was one of those funky things that you need to hold up to your nose and stare at, hoping to see a dimensional image appear. Dry-eyed and cross-eyed, I figured I'd get SOME use out of that paper.

Complex layering and detail still produce a simple and simply elegant card in Linda Blackbird's hands.
Aldonna Wedge experiments with interesting backgrounds for the carnations.
