| continued.....Dr. Deb
(Deb Foy)....
(as noted on the preceeding page) is responsible for the Breast
Cancer Research stamps being produced. She suggested a "solid"
one, that didn't have to be colored in each time it was used.
The tap shoes you see in the catalog
(Other, shoes) are hers and her request for
some alphabets triggered the "jig saw alphabet" and
the seals alphabet set.
In addition to her "real" job (the "Dr."
part of the Dr. Deb title) today we are meeting her as a stamp
artist. But she is multi-faceted...a marathon runner, a cook,
gardener, quilter, party giver and "enjoyer" or life.
A very positive person.
Her bio information in the "Meet
the Stampers" section will fill you in. Of particular
interest, she has turned her stamping into a business. She produces
individual cards which she markets through card shops and on-line.See
Paper Rose samples.
gg designs is flattered that she uses many hand carved
images.

Deb too, had difficulty determining which image to select for this sale. (A particular convention.)
She writes:
Stamp to put on sale: This is not easy because I love the tap shoes and my quote, and can't wait for you to see some of the Christmas cards I'm going to make (yeah, they are still in my head) with these stamps. But because I've only used the stamps a few times, I can't say I have experimented enough with the stamp to encourage people to purchase the stamps . . . My second favorite stamp is the postcard rose, I use it often and in many different ways. This stamp can be used as an accent, the main attraction and as part of a collage. And when embossed with rose scented embossing powder makes a great scented card.
But my favorite stamp is the large pear! I love this stamp because of it's versatility. I have used this stamp for birthday, anniversary, Christmas, New Year, get well, thinking of you, and sympathy cards. I even made patriot pears (I should have sent you a photo of it -- it was so cute!) The pear is the stamp for different styles too: impressionist, formal, cute, and great for Janet's (Detter Margul, Dueling Modems) toilet paper molds. This stamp, like all the deep cut images is easy to stamp, perfect for embossing, and so easy to clean. The large pear coupled with the small pear makes a great pair of pears.
