gg designs' unique rubber stamp

Arlene Faber

My first stamps were carved by me using art gum erasers and were used to print gift wrap. This would be in the 1960's. Very little in the way of art stamps existed. I now serve as coach to a club here in Sun City (a Senior Active Living community) helping people learn to use tools or to use various inks. I work with the beginners getting them started and the more advanced by trying experimental things with them. Sometimes folks bring something they bought once and now can't recall what it is supposed to be used for. For a while I taught some classes in my local Michael's in several different craft techniques.

Arlene has participated in gg design's "Mystery Stamp" events when Cyberstampers' was active and more recently has designed two sketches for ggd's December Challenge.

She also prompted the "Male Mail" Challenge and has participated in virtually ever Challenge since Heather Strenzwilk's first Challenge last year.

These examples were done using stamps made with the Home Stamping Kit.

Nobody got as excited about the possibilities as did gg designs.....and Arlene helped out with these experiments.

Same sketch....two different occasions.

This month Arlene not only sent in her own entry, she encouraged her whole stamping club to participate. Check them out!

This is one of several of Arlene's works from Ida's Watercolor Technique Challenge.

Again, Arlene can't do just one!  : )

Check out her other Slice 'n Dice entries.
